This is definitely one of my favourite collections of this season; the clash of monochrome and bright colours of blocked landscape jungle prints and 18th century etchings made it very cool and elegant, especially with the simple but chic silhouettes using light and crisp cottons and linen like fabrics. The prints definitely came to life in this collection.

Dries Van Noten Spring 2012 RTW
Was this collaboration fate? I hope so. The night scape prints of James Reeve combined with Dries Van Noten subtle Spanish and Italian couture shapes created a relaxed and modern attitude. The clean tailoring also helps interpret this into an everyday wardrobe, since shaping made from ruffles and gathering can sometimes look dated.
